2.4 GHz, 3.5 GHz and 5.8 GHz
QiiQ offers a complete line of Fixed Wireless solutions based on 802.11B, 802.11A specifications in the license-free frequency band of 2.4 GHz or 5.8 GHz and on MMDS and TDD technologies in the licensed band of 3.5 GHz for Point to Point (PTP) application and Point to Multipoint (PTMP) application using hardware and software that have proven performance for providing high quality bandwidth in a LAN for both data and VoIP communication.
A PTMP installation consists of a QiiQ Fixed Wireless unit installed as the hub for a network of remote QiiQ Fixed Wireless units, each installed at distances of up to 40 kilometers from the hub unit. The hub QiiQ Fixed Wireless unit is interfaced with a VoIP gateway switch with access to the PSTN. The remote QiiQ Fixed Wireless unit is each interfaced with a VoIP gateway with FXS ports for interconnection with regular analog telephone sets for making telephone calls by VoIP. The latter can be a Call Shop setting, a business office or a home.
These solutions are particularly useful in providing broadband services in remote country in a campus setting where the DSL and Cable network services are not available.
The coverage can be as much as the area described by a radius of 40 kilometers in line of sight installation with the use of a signal booster where necessary.
QiiQ Fixed Wireless solutions complement well with the Satellite Services that are provided by EcoCarrier, a sister company of QiiQ, for providing bandwidth for VoIP service over distances of up to 40 kilometers. In this kind of application, a typical PTMP installation configuration consists of a Q-FW 2400 Series unit interfaced with the satellite modem at the site where there is the satellite antenna and other satellite ground equipment. Through the satellite modem the VoIP traffic is sent to a teleport where there is facility for accessing the PSTN.
This QiiQ Fixed Wireless unit at the satellite ground station acts as the hub unit to support the multiple QiiQ Fixed Wireless units at the remote sites. Each of the QiiQ Fixed Wireless remote units is interfaced with a VoIP gateway for providing IP telephony service to the local users.

The QiiQ WLAN system for telecom grade solution provides an infrastructure which can connect to PSTN and IP network. All the subscribers can easily communicate with each other via wireless network. The base station provides enormous capability management and fits the subscribers' demand. And the QoS mechanism ensures that every user can acquire specific bandwidth which can be dynamically allocated. The solution also converts voice signals into packets conformed to H.323 protocol so that voice can be transmitted via the wireless network. The solution adopts double security mechanisms, WEP encryption and MAC access control, to make sure the whole system has the highest reliability and security. Moreover, the solution can be equipped with a firewall in order to block illegal attacks. The NMS system facilitates the management and surveillance of the network solution. The high base station scalability allows the setup of a new server or workstation in the base station for the future usage. To support the new protocols 802.11g or 802.11a, the system can be upgraded by simply replacing the indoor unit. The solution uses the unlicensed frequency of 5.8 GHz. The network solution can endure wide operating temperature from �30 to 60 C. Booster and Converter
QiiQ Fixed Wireless Booster operating on the 2.4 GHz ISM band is a high performance two-way amplifier using Time Division Duplex (TDD) technology. It is used outdoors to extend the range of wireless radio communication. The DC Injector provides DC power to the outdoor booster or transponder through the RF feed cable without an additional power cord.
QiiQ Fixed Wireless Converter converts the operating frequency from 2.4 GHz to 5.8 GHz band or other frequency band (customer-design). It is used outdoors to extend the range of wireless radio communication system such as Wireless Local Loop (WLL), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), Wireless Internet Access (WIA) and wireless connection with point-to-point and point-to-multipoint.
